In this unsettled economy there are so many that have lost jobs, working shorter hours, or even working several jobs at the same time just to make ends meet. No one is exempt from this economic downshift, we are all vulnerable. Therefore everyone needs to be proactive and think about the 'what if scenario'. What if I lose my job, what if I have to work shorter hours, what if I have my pay decreased but keep my job. What will we do if the 'what if scenario' affects you and I. Keep all options open, think of other ways to bring in cash, sell things at a garage sale or on ebay, look to downsize and cut expenses by reducing cable or cell phone usage, etc. the list is endless.
Along those lines, I have been thinking about embarking , or should I say signing up to become an 'associate' for a very well known and respected company that has been around for almost 150 years. This company sells a wide variety of products from vitamins to skin creams to spices. This has been something I checked into years ago and as recent as a year ago. Although I never officially started this enterprise, I have done my homework and talked to several people. It is something that has been tugging in the back of my mind for so long that I do think that probably it is time to go on full board with this venture. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit but never followed thru on anything. So now is the time to follow my dream and at least give it a try. Nothing ventured , nothing gained.
